DSK Hospital is offering mother and child health care services which aimed at improving the health and well-being of mothers and their children, particularly in low-income communities where maternal and child mortality rates are high. This project is operated and monitored by highly experienced and trained Gynae Specialists. It deals with a range of interventions and strategies to address the various health challenges faced by mothers and children, such as improving access to healthcare services, ensuring Anti Natal Care (ANC), Post Natal Care (PNC), promoting, counseling, and making aware about safe deliveries and inspired them to come hospitals for reducing the risks during delivery.
DSK Hospitals mother and child health care projects include:
- Satellite Clinics: DSK hospital is operating satellite clinics that provide prenatal care, immunizations, counselling and other basic health services for mothers and children through highly experienced Sub Assistant Community Medical Officer (SACMO) and Community Health Service Providers (CHP). SACMO and CHPs are directly engaged with low-income communities in field level. They provide primary treatment and if necessary, they referred the patients to Hospital.
- NVD Service: To promote normal vaginal delivery (NVD) at hospital for avoiding various delivery related problems DSK Hospital is offering safe normal deliveries at free of cost if the delivery done at DSK Hospital with the support form Rotary Club of Dhaka Buriganga (RCDB).
- Caesarean Section: DSK hospital is promoting Safe normal deliveries, but if there is medical indication for caesarean section, we are offering a minimum package price amounting 15,000 taka and Taka 11000 for patients from low income communities referred by BRAC Urban Development Program.
- Counselling Programs: We are providing counselling for mothers, families, and proper guardians on topics such as proper nutrition, hygiene, and safe delivery practices.
- Health Information Systems: Developing health information systems to track the health status of mothers and children, identify health risks, and improve health service delivery.
- Improved Access to Health Services: Improving access to health services by expanding the coverage of satellite programs and if necessary providing telemedicine services.
- Community-Based Interventions: Implementing community-based interventions to promote healthy behaviors, such as breastfeeding and handwashing, and to prevent diseases like malaria and diarrhea.
- Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care: Providing emergency obstetric and newborn care services to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates.
- Family Planning: Providing family planning services to improve maternal and child health outcomes by spacing pregnancies and reducing the risks associated with multiple pregnancies.
- Telemedicine: DSK Hospitals providing telemedicine service to patients in remote or underserved areas. For example, we offer virtual consultations with medical professionals or remote monitoring of patients with chronic conditions.
- Patient Safety: DSK Hospitals concerned about patient safety to improve the quality of care and prevent medical errors. For example, DSK hospital implement patient safety protocols, develop training programs for medical professionals, or conduct clinical audits.
